Hand-carved by Nupe artisans in Nigeria from a single piece of hardwood, using traditional woodworking techniques.
Grain, markings, colour and shape differ naturally from stool to stool, and nothing is worked out to make one match another. It sits as a stool, a side table, or a sculptural object. Carving from one piece rather than joining several is the slower way, and the reason the stool lasts. Each piece is one of a kind.
